Subacute thyroiditis is an inflammatory disease of the thyroid that usually caused by a viral infection, this study aimed to estimate incidence subacute in patients at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and determine epidemiological, clinical, biochemical, radiological characteristics as well treatment choices were employed patients, hopes improve care add body knowledge. Thyroid ultrasound revealed 56% nodules, majority normal vascularity color doppler ultrasound. 82% low scintigraphy. β-blockers prescribed 47% nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) 37% 20% not taking any medication. showed females are more susceptible thyroiditis, most common presenting symptom palpitation. Biochemical tests elevation FT4 levels suppression TSH Nodules prominent feature widely managing thyroiditis.
